Third shoot.

Taken in Wales, I was inspired mainly by landscape, however I got 2 lucky shots of swans on my way to Wales, and I thought the swan and the jelly fish was interesting, I've never seen jelly fish before.

Second Shoot

These images are of insects, taken at Grimsby. I like the detail captured in them, and I feel some of them are quite powerful, some could have been improved by a better zoom on the camera I was using, but in general I was happy with the quality of the photographs.



I like these photos because of how shocking they are, they were taken at a different location from the others, not in the countryside, nearer to the city. I feel these pictures give a different perspective environment, and wildlife.

First shoot.

This shoot was focusing on Landscape. I went to the downs, and took photos of some interesting trees I found, they reminded me of the work from Mitchell Krog I found. I wanted to focus more on the roots of the tree in this image, they cover a tunnel an animal has made, and make it look mysterious.
This photo is more focused, showing the ivy growing round the tree, I like the detail that is captured in bark.
This photo was taken at an angle. I like the background, and how there are only circles of light from the gaps in the trees.
This photo uses depth of field, focusing on one part of the branches. I like how it looks like the branch is coming out of the photo, however I would have liked the photo to be more interesting.

Contextual links.

I started looking for contextual links on nature photography websites for my project on wild life. I started looking at insects, because I like the idea of the detail in the insects.

This is a photo by Igor Siwanowicz, this photo is effective because of the use of depth of field, and also the content of the photo. It's dramatic and shocking.
This photo is by an unknown photographer, and it is much more simple than the first photo. I think this makes the photo all the more effective, and this is why I find it inspiring. I also think the detail in the ground adds to the impact of the photo.

I also looked at this photo by Mitchell Krog, which is more landscape photography. This photo is powerful, and the colours are very bold.
